Getting there!!

The push right now is to try to get the body to the paint shop by the end of this week. I spent yesterday and today devising a way to attach both wheel fairings to each rear wheel, and putting the two disc breaks back on. I am pleased with how it works - both wheels spin smoothly inside the fairings and the disc breaks also work - very slick if I do say so myself.

Now I need to bond both wheel fairing halves back together and add some more fiberglass to strengthen the join. As you can see in the photos, the edges that need to be joined together look thin and are pretty rough. Another 4 to 5 layers of 2 to 3 inch wide fiberglass strips running around the perimeter of the wheel fairings + a good thick coating of epoxy+micro should make for a very smooth and seamless fairing.
